Imagine Miami is a community effort to connect people, organizations and businesses that want to improve quality of life in Miami-Dade. We also connect people to ideas and tools for action, and build hope with true stories of people who are making a difference. If you're interested in meeting people (online and face-to-face) who care about the future of Miami-Dade, then join us.
A "Ning" is a social networking site, but ours is different -- it's a CIVIC network just for people who want to make Miami-Dade more just, inclusive and sustainable. Sure, there are other "social networks" for making professional contacts, finding friends, etc. But ours is for folks who want to make connections with others who share their commitment to building stronger communities, particularly at the local level.

Help Us Cultivate the "Civic Network" Recruit people to join our new Ning. We're also seeking event-oriented folks to be assistant organizers of our Meetup.com group. If you would like to help organize informal gatherings of IM members/supporters, like a Happy Hour, a BBQ, a volunteer activity, etc., let us know!
